Judy Auchincloss began her real estate career in Litchfield County in 1991 at Auchincloss & Silk, where she rapidly became the top producing broker. In 2002 Auchincloss & Silk joined Sotheby’s International Realty, and Judy was consistently among the top producing brokers there as well. In 2007 & 2008 she was named to NRT’s Top 1000 Sales Associates, placing her among the top 2% in the entire company.
In the past 17 years she has realized many successes, but her main focus has been to satisfy her clients’ needs. For sellers she is realistic and aggressive, and for buyers she is understanding and persuasive. For what can be often a very stressful business, she is warm, relaxed, funny and will take care of everything.
Prior to real estate Judy was a fund raiser for performing arts organizations and a personal assistant to Joe Baum, the renowned restaurateur, when he opened Windows on the World at the World Trade Center. These careers required that she listen carefully, be convincing and find mutually agreeable solutions. She continues to use these skills as she brokers residential and commercial deals that span the modest to the grandiose real estate spectrum.
Judy also has used her considerable persuasive skills to benefit local organizations. As a former board member of Rumsey Hall School, she began the annual school auction in 1985, which set records for fundraising of over $1,150,000. She is currently on the board of the Washington Citizen’s Scholarship Fund and a member of the Washington Club.
She lives in Washington with her husband, George, who is also a real estate broker at Klemm Real Estate. Additionally, she’s a devoted mom of two children and two step-children.
While most of her time is spent with family and career she manages to find time to be an avid reader, traveler and skier.
